Community service for road rage attacker who broke three bones in driver's face

The incident occurred when Rosarius, driving a white van, confronted Samuel, a delivery driver, after a perceived traffic dispute. Rosarius grabbed a tyre iron and struck Samuel on the head, leading to emergency treatment at The Mater Hospital. The judge noted Rosarius's addiction history, recent rehabilitation, and low risk of re‑offending, deciding that custodial imprisonment was unnecessary. The sentence also considered a second count of producing the tyre iron during the dispute. The community service must be completed within two years.
