Mr Walsh, who applied in person, had agreed a High Court consent order to surrender possession of Unit 1, Bluebell Industrial Estate, Dublin 12.

Robert Walsh has been refused leave to appeal to the Supreme Court in his dispute with Stephen Tennant over a commercial unit at Bluebell Industrial Estate, Dublin 12. The determination was delivered on 22 July 2015.

In October 2014, the High Court made an order by consent that Mr Walsh surrender possession of Unit 1 at the estate. Mr Walsh was represented by a solicitor at the time. His motion to overturn the order was refused by Mr Justice Keane in February 2015.

He lodged an appeal to the Court of Appeal out of time. In April 2015, that court refused to extend the time, noting that his notice of appeal was dated months after the consent order.

Mr Walsh, who applied in person, told the Supreme Court that the delay was not his fault and that he had been under undue influence. Mr Tennant opposed the application.

The Supreme Court found that the issues were not of general public importance. They concerned standard tests for extending time to appeal that have been applied for decades. It said his claim about the interests of justice was not particularised and was vague and unsupported.
