Man who stole over €300,000 to fund luxury lifestyle fails in appeal
Stage: Sentence
Plea: Guilty
Outcome: David Cullen (34), with a last address at Tyrconnell Road Inchicore, was jailed for four years by Judge Martin Nolan, having pleaded guilty to four sample counts relating to the theft of sums totalling €302,000 from Irish Life & Permanent between October 2005 and September 2008. Mr Justice Nial Fennelly, presiding at the Court of Criminal Appeal, said the court would dismiss the application as it was satisfied there was no error in principle in the four-year sentence imposed.
