A 49-year-old resident of Ballyjamesduff in County Cavan has pleaded guilty to threatening a Criminal Assets Bureau officer and submitting a false tax return. Pascal Kelly entered guilty pleas at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court to delivering an incorrect income tax return to the office of the Collector General in October 2004, and to uttering threats against Detective Garda Mark Gallagher at CAB offices on Harcourt Square in April 2011. His defence counsel informed the court that Kelly faces a third charge, pending CCTV evidence. Judge Martin Nolan remanded Kelly in custody and adjourned the matter to 20 March 2015 for sentencing, when counsel indicated the final case would also be addressed.
