A book of evidence has been served on a man accused of membership of an unlawful organisation before the Special Criminal Court. James Joseph Cassidy, aged 53, of Tullycollive, Castleblayney, Co. Monaghan, is charged with membership of an organisation styling itself the Irish Republican Army on 21 September 2016. The State solicitor confirmed to the three-judge court that the book of evidence was ready for service on the accused. Mr Justice Tony Hunt, sitting with Judge John O'Hagan and Judge Ann Ryan, remanded Mr Cassidy on continuing bail. The case is listed for mention again on 24 April.
