A 33-year-old woman from Sligo has pleaded guilty to impeding the apprehension of a man suspected of involvement in a killing in the town. Janice Brady, of Maryville Hostel in Finisklin, appeared before the Central Criminal Court on November 13th. She admitted to obstructing the apprehension or prosecution of a man between August 2nd and 3rd, 2015, at an address in Sligo, knowing or believing he was responsible for a fatal incident. Mr Justice Patrick McCarthy ordered the preparation of a probation report before sentencing and remanded Brady in custody until November 24th.
