A 47-year-old man from Swinford has pleaded guilty to assault causing harm following an incident in which he struck his brother with a shovel at their home in Cloongullaune on 27 July 2022. The victim was rendered unconscious and transported to Mayo University Hospital with a head injury, where imaging revealed fluid on the brain.
