A man has been jailed for ten years at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court following his conviction for supervising a drug trafficking operation. Tomasz Zdechlikiewicz, aged 38 of Clongriffin, was found guilty of possessing 36 kilogrammes of cannabis with intent to supply and possessing €13,000 in cash as proceeds of crime. The offences occurred on 25 February 2021 following a surveillance operation by gardaí. Evidence showed that Zdechlikiewicz played a supervisory role while two co-accused handled the consignment, which was concealed in lorry tyres at Greenogue Business Park in Rathcoole. The cannabis carried an estimated street value of €720,000. Mobile phone analysis revealed incriminating communications relating to drug trafficking in the weeks before his arrest. Zdechlikiewicz had denied all charges. His two co-accused previously pleaded guilty and received sentences of five and six years respectively. Judge Martin Nolan imposed a concurrent four-year sentence for the money laundering charge.
