Summary
Leroy Roche AKA Dumbrell, 31, of Dun Laoghaire, was sentenced at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court to a further 14 months in prison for violent disorder. Judge Martin Nolan noted that Dumbrell pleaded guilty to the offence, which occurred on August 29, 2015, during a disturbance at Cloverhill Prison. His current sentence is due for release on July 30, 2019, and the new sentence will take effect from that date. Defence counsel Damien Colgan SC highlighted that the guilty plea spared the court a trial and presented evidence of Dumbrell's rehabilitation, including completion of an Alternative to Violence course.
