'I will shoot you all': four shots fired at group after nightclub 'disagreement'

Summary

In a Dublin Circuit Criminal Court hearing, Patrick Price (27) and Clive Bass (29) were sentenced to six years' imprisonment for possession of a firearm and the use of a shotgun to frighten a group outside the Buzz nightclub on 28 April 2019. CCTV showed a disagreement between Price and a group of people; Price was removed from the club and threatened the bouncer, saying he would shoot them. After leaving in an Audi A3, the car returned to the scene and four shots were fired from the backseat, striking a man 30 metres away and causing minor structural damage to the club's smoking area. Gardaí seized gunshot residue on Bass's clothing and a shotgun case in the car, which was registered to Price's mother. Both men pleaded guilty to possession of a firearm; Price had no convictions at the time, while Bass had 41 previous convictions.
