Summary

A 36‑year‑old Dublin man, Anthony Locke, is on trial for the murder of Christopher Jackson, 53, who died on 7 September 2012. Jackson's body was found wrapped and concealed in a wardrobe in his Prussia Street flat. Locke pleaded not guilty. His brother, Bernard Locke, 40, from Ramillies Road, has pleaded guilty to the murder and will be sentenced later. The prosecution, led by Conor Devally SC, opened the trial before Mr Justice Garrett Sheehan and a jury of 12. The court heard that Jackson was stabbed to death at his home, with multiple stab wounds causing death or serious harm. Locke allegedly lived above Jackson's flat and had drugs in his house on the night of the murder. After the killing, attempts were made to conceal the body the following day. The trial is expected to last two weeks.
