Operation Tara - Drug Seizure and Arrest at Tallaght, Dublin – 27th August 2026

On 27 August 2026, Gardaí conducted Operation Tara in Tallaght, Dublin, resulting in the seizure of drugs with an estimated street value of over €190,000 and the arrest of one individual. During the operation, a vehicle was stopped on the N7, and a large quantity of cocaine valued at €100,000 was discovered. The male driver in his 40s was arrested and detained at Tallaght Garda Station. Follow-up searches at a residential address in Old Bawn yielded additional drugs, including cocaine (€29,890), crystal methamphetamine (€47,250), cannabis (€9,520), and oxycodone (€7,000), along with €15,320 in cash. All seized drugs are being analyzed by FSI. Investigations are ongoing.
