22 apartments proposed

Permission for development which consists of: permission is sought by Kenny Developments Galway Ltd for the construction of a residential development, consisting of 39 no. residential units, at Circular Road, Galway City. The proposed development will consist of the; 1. Construction of 22 no. own-door apartments across 2 no. duplex building blocks; a. Block 01 consists of a three-storey building, comprising of 5 no. 2-bed ground floor apartments, 1 no. 2-bed upper floor apartments, 5 no. 3-bed upper floor apartments, integrated bin store and integrated bike store. b. Block 02 consists of a two-storey building, comprising of 5 no. 2-bed ground floor apartments, 6 no. 2-bed upper floor apartments, integrated bin store and integrated bike store. 2. Construction of 17 no. dwelling houses; consisting of 1 no. 4-bed two storey detached dwelling, 4 no. 3-bed one and a half storey semi-detached dwellings, 6 no. 3 bed two storey semi-detached dwellings, 4 no. 4-bed two storey semi-detached dwellings, and 2 no. two storey 3-bed mid terraced dwellings, 3. Removal of hard surface area on site and closure of 2 no. existing entrances onto Circular road (L-1020), 4. Construction of a vehicular access and 2 no. pedestrian access points on to Circular Road (L1020) along with provision of raised pedestrian crossing on Circular Road, 5. Provision of grouped car parking to include accessible spaces, EV spaces, as well as a set down area, 6. Provision of landscaping, public open spaces including a centrally-located communal open space with play areas, 7. Connection to existing mains water infrastructure on Circular Road, 8. Proposed connection to sewer network via a proposed network extension and a proposed upgrade to the existing foul sewer along the “Carn Ard” estate, to serve the proposed development. 9. Provision of on-site surface water drainage arrangements to include on site attenuation and infiltration, 10.
