Labour Court upholds finding that Ebookers worker’s dismissal was not unfair

Labour Court ·

The Labour Court upheld a Rights Commissioner’s recommendation that a travel sales consultant’s dismissal by Ebookers was not unfair. The decision was signed on 11 January 2006. The worker disputed the company’s account of his performance, calling it incorrect and uncorroborated. Ebookers said it had issued warnings, provided coaching and dismissed him after he failed to meet its required standard. The Labour Court found no reason to alter the recommendation.
