In 2007, the Labour Court affirmed a Rights Commissioner’s recommendation rejecting a worker’s claim for incremental credit from the start of her temporary employment with the Health Service Executive. The Court dated its decision 2 July 2007 and disallowed her appeal. The worker sought recognition of 13 years of private-sector service from February 2001, when she began as a temporary Clerical Officer. The HSE had recognised that service for incremental credit from February 2002, when she became permanent. The Court found the Rights Commissioner’s conclusions reasonable in the circumstances.
