The Labour Court allowed St Josephs Special School’s appeal and set aside a Rights Commissioner’s recommendation that it pay a worker travel and subsistence expenses. The decision was signed on 16 June 2011. The worker’s union said the expenses had been stopped unilaterally and that staff in other grades continued to receive them. The school argued that travel from home to work was not covered and comparisons with other grades were invalid.
