The Labour Court found a fair resolution to a plumber’s dispute with Waterford County Council after the council rescinded his suspension and his written warning expired. The decision was signed on 27 March 2015. The dispute followed the worker’s refusal to repair a leak outside his usual work area. He argued that the suspension was unwarranted and that the council had breached its procedures; the council said the written warning was reasonable and proportionate.
