The Labour Court upheld the Rights Commissioner's recommendation rejecting a warehouse worker's claim for extra pay, in a decision dated 17 October 1988. The Irish Transport And General Workers Union had appealed on the worker's behalf, arguing that additional duties warranted a wage increase. Klinge And Company Ltd said the worker was on the appropriate Grade V scale and that the alleged extra duties did not justify additional pay. The Labour Court found no grounds to alter the recommendation.
