Labour Court upholds £250 recommendation against Cutaway Hair Salon

Labour Court ·

In 1991, the Labour Court rejected a worker’s appeal and upheld the Rights Commissioner’s £250 recommendation against The Cutaway Hair Salon. The Court’s decision was signed on 3 September 1991. The worker said she was let go after seeking details of her tax situation and earnings. The salon said business was not picking up as expected. The Rights Commissioner found that she had been unfairly dismissed and recommended £250 in full and final settlement of claims relating to her termination. The Labour Court found no reason to alter that recommendation.
