In 1992, the Labour Court upheld a Rights Commissioner’s recommendation that Re-Play offer a worker £260 and a suitable reference in full settlement of his unfair dismissal dispute. The decision was signed on 12 March 1992. The worker appealed, saying Re-Play dismissed him after a disagreement over a sales bonus and without giving him a chance to answer complaints. Re-Play cited falling shop takings and concerns about his conduct and telephone use. The Court found no grounds to amend the recommendation.
