In 1992, the Labour Court upheld a Rights Commissioner’s recommendation that Bonovale Fashions Limited, trading as Hendron Fashions Limited, pay a production manager £2,446 after tax and insurance for unpaid wages. The decision was dated 6 April 1992. The worker appealed, saying weekly cheques had been returned unpaid and he had not been paid for 12 weeks’ work. He also said he had been unfairly treated and should be compensated for his loss. Bonovale Fashions told the Court it would not be represented at the hearing. The Court found no grounds to amend the recommendation.
