Labour Court upholds £135 recommendation and directs further £135 holiday payment

Labour Court ·

In 1992, the Labour Court upheld the Rights Commissioner’s £135 recommendation to a worker in her appeal against Chique Ltd and directed the company to pay a further £135 in holiday pay. The decision was signed on 21 August 1992. The worker said Chique Ltd had not paid her first week’s wages or holiday entitlement when her employment ended, and had not provided a P45. Chique Ltd did not attend the Labour Court hearing. The Court found the original recommendation appropriate and directed it be implemented, along with the further holiday payment and provision of a completed P45.
