The Labour Court upheld a Rights Commissioner’s recommendation that Styletex Limited pay a worker £250 in full and final settlement of her dismissal dispute. The decision was signed on 13 February 1995. The Court found that the worker’s performance was improving at a reasonable rate for someone in training in her first job. It was not convinced that the company had adequately explained a fall in her performance during her final two weeks, and said it could have discussed the problem with her and explained what was required.
