The WRC dismissed an employee’s redundancy, industrial relations and equality claims against an employer in a decision dated 25 October 2016. The employee said she was denied training, was owed enhanced redundancy and that bullying and harassment concerns had not been investigated. The WRC found no basis for the industrial relations complaint. On redundancy, it found the employee understood that €19,068 was in full and final settlement of her statutory redundancy entitlement; the missing certificate did not make the payment discretionary. The equality complaint was dismissed after the WRC found no suitable comparator and that the last identifiable alleged incident was outside the time limit. A separate civil status and family grounds complaint was withdrawn at the hearing.
