A WRC adjudication officer recommended €4,000 compensation for a social care worker after finding that genuine workplace grievances had not been addressed in time. The recommendation was dated 15 November 2016. The worker said grievances dating to 2004 had harmed her career progression and sought compensation and educational support. The care centre said it had addressed her concerns after an external investigation and agreed to fund a relevant course in full. The officer found the delays unacceptable and recommended €4,000 for them, in full and final settlement of the complaint, payable within six weeks.
