The WRC found an post failed to follow its Dignity at Work policy when handling a worker's complaints about two supervisors. In a decision dated 9 August 2016, the adjudication officer ordered an post to give the worker a copy within six weeks. An independent investigator should be appointed if the complaints could be considered bullying or harassment under the policy.
The worker alleged that the supervisors had bullied him. An post said the incidents related to performance management and that it had addressed the complaints. The officer found the worker had not received the Dignity at Work policy when making either complaint, despite an post having one in place.
