The Workplace Relations Commission recommended setting aside a faculty administrator’s written warning and disciplinary findings, but did not recommend reopening his bullying investigation. The recommendation was dated 1 February 2017. The officer found that the university’s policy normally called for a verbal warning in performance cases and that there was no clear reason for choosing a written warning. The officer also recommended setting aside the disciplinary findings because the administrator’s line manager had investigated the performance issue she had raised. The officer found that the separate investigation into the bullying complaint followed the university’s policy and fair procedures, and recommended that it not be reopened.
