The Workplace Relations Commission awarded a motor mechanic €1,000 after finding that his employer had not given written notice of reduced working hours. The decision was dated 26 July 2016. A separate wages complaint succeeded because wages were sometimes late or a cheque was returned, although all sums were eventually paid and no compensation was awarded. The mechanic's constructive-dismissal claim failed because he resigned without first giving management an opportunity to address his grievances.
