The WRC said it could not adjudicate on a factory operative’s complaint about a final written warning because the warning was not the complaint she had filed. The recommendation was dated 3 November 2016. The worker said she received the warning after raising safety concerns and refusing a new loading task. Her complaint form referred to disciplinary sanctions up to and including dismissal, but she pursued only the warning at the hearing. The adjudicator found the form also covered her dismissal. The merits were not decided.
