The Workplace Relations Commission found that a restaurant supervisor was constructively dismissed and awarded her €2,000. The decision was dated 17 February 2017. She said her employer sidelined her after she disclosed her pregnancy and left her no choice but to resign. The employer said it reduced her hours and responsibilities at her request and denied mistreating her. The officer found the employer had not arranged training for the supervisor role and, within two weeks of learning of her pregnancy, said it was hiring a new supervisor. She had no opportunity to work in the role for which she was hired.
