The WRC found that an employer had provided a business manager with a contract within two months of his starting work and rejected his complaint under the Terms of Employment (Information) Act. Adjudication Officer Gerry Rooney dated the decision 18 October 2016. The worker said he had not received a contract. The employer said it had provided one and produced an internal email and a signed record showing the worker attended a human-resources workshop. The officer relied on that evidence in finding that a contract had been provided. The payslip issues raised at the hearing were outside the complaint and the officer’s jurisdiction.
