The WRC ordered a courier firm to pay a sales manager €3,509.58 after finding his contract entitled him to four weeks’ notice pay. Adjudication Officer Kevin Baneham dated the decision 21 September 2016. The firm argued that his fixed-term contract had expired and cited his sales performance. The officer found his six-month probation had ended without being formally extended. After accounting for payments already made, the award covered three further weeks of wages.
