The Workplace Relations Commission recommended that a recruitment agency pay €600 to an operations assistant over his dismissal, while rejecting his race discrimination and harassment complaints. Adjudication Officer Kevin Baneham dated the decision 21 August 2017. The assistant said he had been singled out for menial tasks and treated unfairly because of his race. The officer found the workplace issues were not shown to be related to race and the criticisms did not establish harassment. He found the agency had strong grounds for dismissal but had not followed its probation policy, which provided for one verbal and one written warning.
