The Workplace Relations Commission awarded a chef €404.80 in a Payment of Wages Act complaint against Restauraunteur, in a decision dated 23 August 2017. The chef said he left the job without giving notice and Restauraunteur then refused to pay him. Restauraunteur did not attend the hearing. The WRC accepted the chef’s uncontested evidence and found the claim well founded.
