The Workplace Relations Commission made no recommendation on a care assistant’s dispute over being kept from work after reinstatement, saying it would be premature while another case might be pending. The recommendation was dated 22 November 2016; the WRC said it had jurisdiction to hear the dispute. The care assistant said an earlier appeal had reinstated him from December 2015, but he was not allowed to return. The care centre said a new board overturned that decision and dismissed him in August 2016. The adjudicator said any unresolved loss-of-earnings issues could be referred after the further claim concluded.
