The Workplace Relations Commission found a truck driver’s complaint for €13,140 in sick pay was not well founded. The decision was dated 15 February 2018. The driver said his 2009 contract entitled him to sick pay for a work-related absence. The haulage company said it revised its sick-pay terms in 2013 after consultation. The WRC found that under the revised policy and updated employment terms, the sick pay was not properly payable.
