The WRC found that a general operative was entitled to a statutory redundancy lump sum after the parties agreed a redundancy situation had occurred. The decision was dated 18 October 2016. The operative worked for a plant hire provider from 12 April 2012 until 12 June 2015, and the parties agreed his gross weekly wage was €682.50. The entitlement was subject to the operative having been in insurable employment during that period.
