The teacher said he had received only one week’s notice. The WRC found his 13 years of continuous service entitled him to six weeks’ notice or pay in lieu, leaving five weeks’ wages due. The respondent did not attend the hearing or send submissions. The WRC upheld the minimum notice complaint and directed the education body to pay €3,948.25 in compensation.
