The WRC awarded an accountant €5,736.90 in outstanding wages after upholding her complaint under the Payment of Wages Act. The decision was dated 8 March 2017. The accountant said she was offered a €40,000 salary and began work in February 2016. She said salary arrears remained unpaid and that she had to leave the Galway office after learning its rent was overdue. The financial services company did not attend the hearing.
