Agency worker’s two claims against agency fail; another withdrawn

By Cathal Brosnan

Workplace Relations Commission ·

A WRC adjudication officer found two claims by an agency worker against an agency failed and a third was withdrawn in a decision dated 25 April 2017. The worker’s temporary agency work complaint failed because the officer found the complaint as filed was misconceived: no evidence was presented on the actual allegation, and the other allegations were new. Her Employment Equality Act complaint against the agency also failed after she said she would not pursue it against that respondent. The officer found the agency had no case to answer. Her equality complaint was directed at a bank, whose identity is not given here.
