The Workplace Relations Commission rejected a manager’s constructive dismissal and bonus claims against his employer; his redundancy complaint was withdrawn at the hearing. The decision was dated 26 July 2017. The adjudication officer found the manager continued with an informal grievance process and resigned while mediation and further assessment were pending, denying the employer an opportunity to address the grievance fully. The officer also found the bonus scheme required recipients to remain employed on the payment date, after the manager had resigned.
