The Workplace Relations Commission awarded a Montessori assistant manager €400 gross for unpaid final-week wages and €1,600 gross in notice pay, and granted a statutory redundancy lump sum. The decision was dated 6 December 2016. The respondent, Montessori and Family Education Centre, agreed that the final week’s salary and notice pay had not been paid. The officer rejected the separate week-in-hand claim because the complainant could not prove she had worked that week. She withdrew her terms-and-conditions complaint. The protection-of-employment complaint also failed because the respondent had ten employees, below the 20-person threshold.
