The WRC determined that a shop worker was entitled to a redundancy lump sum after an off-licence closed abruptly. The decision was dated 25 April 2017. The adjudication officer based the entitlement on employment from 5 July 2013 to 18 September 2015 and average weekly pay of €328.70, subject to the worker having been in insurable employment. The respondent did not attend the hearing.
