A worker was awarded €4,176 for unpaid holiday pay and a back week after a construction company failed to attend the hearing. The WRC found the complaint well founded on the worker’s uncontested evidence. The worker said he was employed from 29 April 2015 to 27 July 2016 and received no holiday pay for either year, or the back week that had operated since he started. The WRC decision, dated 24 March 2017, awarded €3,439 in holiday pay and €737 for the back week.
