An accounts assistant succeeded in her complaint about late written employment terms, while her Payment of Wages complaint about pension deductions was not well founded. The WRC decision was dated 15 May 2017. She said the accountancy firm did not maintain pension contributions after her employment transferred and provided written terms five months after the transfer. The firm said it had received limited information from her former employer and offered an alternative pension arrangement. The adjudication officer found the pension deductions had been refunded and were not contrary to section 5 of the Payment of Wages Act. The firm was required to provide written terms under the statutory headings because it had not supplied them within the required period.
