Whirlpool worker’s industrial relations complaint fails

By Eimear Byrne

Workplace Relations Commission ·

The WRC found a worker’s industrial relations complaint against Whirlpool not well founded in a decision dated 26 April 2017. She said her role and workload had expanded, management had warned her after investigative meetings, and workplace relations had deteriorated. Whirlpool said she had not raised a formal complaint through its grievance procedure or Open Door Policy. The adjudication officer found Whirlpool had not been made aware of her concerns and had no opportunity to address them.
