The Workplace Relations Commission declared that a Retired Civil Servant’s Employment Equality Act complaint failed for lack of prosecution and that it had no jurisdiction over his pension complaint. The decision was dated 30 August 2017; the merits were not decided. The complainant did not make submissions on the substance of the equality complaint at either hearing or afterwards. He retired in 1998 and referred the pension complaint in September 2016, about 18 years later, beyond the applicable time limit.
