The WRC dismissed a kitchen porter’s five complaints against a restaurant for want of prosecution after the complainant failed to attend the hearing. The merits were not decided. The decision was dated 7 June 2017. The complaints concerned wages, working time, unfair dismissal and written employment terms. The restaurant attended the hearing; the adjudicator found that the complainant had received notice and that the unexplained absence was unreasonable.
