The Workplace Relations Commission found against an account manager in a complaint alleging dismissal on grounds of pregnancy after she and her representative failed to attend the hearing. The decision was dated 20 November 2017. The label printing company’s managing director attended for the respondent. The officer found the absence unreasonable, said the statutory obligation had ceased and concluded the investigation against the complainant because no supporting evidence was given; the merits were not decided. Her separate unfair-dismissal complaint had been withdrawn earlier.
