The Workplace Relations Commission rejected a technician’s unfair dismissal and written-terms complaints after the worker did not attend the hearing. In a decision dated 12 June 2017, the WRC said both complaints were not well founded and rejected them for lack of prosecution; the merits were not decided. The worker had been notified of the hearing but gave no explanation for the absence and made no subsequent communication.
